Things to do in Ottawa - Museum of Nature

The Canadian Museum of Nature located at 240 McLeod Street in Ottawa is a great spot for the family to spend an afternoon. It is currently hosting the Brain "The Inside Story" exhibit until September 3rd 2018.
Some of the permanent galleries are the Fossil Gallery, Earth Gallery, Mammal Gallery, Water Gallery, Bird Gallery, Nature Live with insects, Stone Wall Gallery and the Landscapes of Canada Gardens outside of the front doors. Finally, a new permanent gallery opened in 2017 called The Canada Goose Arctic Gallery.
Driving along McLeod Street one will notice the large glass structure over the front doors. Known as the "Queens' Lantern" this dramatic space inside the museum currently has a large Jellyfish hanging from its ceiling and is visible from the outside.
General admission prices for adults is $18.50 while the cost is $16.50 for seniors and students. Children (3-12) is $14.50. Please note the Canadian Museum of Nature is free on Thursday evenings from 5pm to 8pm as well as on July 1st (Canada Day).
